Terms & Conditions

General

a) These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all courses, workshops, events, and performances offered by Backstage Studio, and to the use of all Backstage Studio premises.

1. Courses/Trimester fee
Registration and termination

a) The registration is binding and obliges to pay the entire course fee.

b) The course fee is to be paid before the first lesson or paid to the instructor in cash before the first class.

c) Classes are held according to the timetable. We reserve the right to change the schedule and/or occupancy plan (Studio 1/2/3).

d) In the case of missed lessons, there is no entitlement to a reduction or reimbursement of the tuition fee. Missed classes can made up within the same trimester.

e) From age 16, adult fees are applicable. Students and apprentices with valid cards are entitled to a student discount.

f) The registration ends at the end of the trimester.

g) In the case of a course cancellation due to illness or accident, the participant(s) and/or the legal guardian(s) are obliged to present a medical certificate. Credits for missed lessons will be transferred pro rata in the form of a credit note to future courses.

2. Workshops
Registration and termination

a) The application is binding and obliges to pay the complete fee.

b) Workshop payments must be made in advance.

c) A notice of cancellation must be given in writing to info@backstagestudio.ch, a processing fee of CHF 50.00 will be charged. There is no right to a refund of already paid workshop payments.

3. Liability

The participant(s) and/or the legal guardian(s) waive all claims in the event of damage or personal injury. The use of the Backstage Studio premises is at your own risk. Backstage Studio is not liable for wardrobe, accident, property or property damage on the way to and from dance classes, and while staying on Backstage Studio premises. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.

4. Health problems

The participant(s) and/or the legal guardian(s) are obliged to inform the organizer (Backstage Studio) of any health problems and illnesses, which is in their own best interest. Participation of classes is based on self-responsibility and on knowing your own limits.

5. Use of the premises

a) Street shoes and street clothes shall be deposited in the wardrobe.

b) Food is not allowed in the dance rooms.

c) Hall doors as well as windows in the dance rooms shall be kept closed during lessons/training.

d) The volume of music shall not exceed the maximum volume prescribed by law.

e) The rooms may only be used for personal trainings against a room rental.

f) The use of the studio is allowed in the evening until 10p.m.

g) When leaving the premises, no noise may be caused in the courtyard.

Place of Jurisdiction/applicable law

Swiss law applies, Place of Jurisdiction is Zurich.
