Samuels Smith is one of the established tap artists. For his work as a dancer, choreographer and director he received an Emmy, the Dance Magazine Award, the American Choreography Award and the Gregory Hines Humanitarian Award for the foundation of the «First Annual Los Angeles Tap Festival 2003». On the TV he appeared, in «So You Think You Can Dance», «Dancing with The Stars». Main roles in Broadway's «Bring in Da'Noise, Bring in Da'Funk», Savion Glover's «NYOTs» (Not Your Ordinary Tappers) and «Imagine Tap!» are among his stage performances. He is regarded worldwide as an advocate and spokesperson of tap.
